Here's to You Grandpa Davis!

It was in February 1999 When Chris Garcia took me home to meet his family. He warned me about his grandpa, "Just so you know, my grandpa gets confused sometimes with my girlfriends. Don't be surprised if he calls you by one of my old girl friends names." I'm thinking to myself, "great, either grandpa Davis is a little out there or Chris brings a lot of girls home."

To our surprise, Grandpa Davis was on his toes! Not once did he ever call me by another girls name but he treated me like family from that day forward. He was funny, lovable and had a knack for the guitar.

We all had our special moments with grandpa Davis. especially the little ones. He loved hanging out with the kiddies.

This photo was taken at his grandson's wedding this past winter. If I remember correctly I think he even danced a few songs with his grand daughters Dee Dee and Autumn.
We are going to miss you dearly Grandpa Davis, You made this family possible that I so much cherish. Grandpa Davis passed today and I would like to say he had a wonderful full filling life and family although I have only been with the family for 11years it has felt like I was meant to be with them from the begining. I will miss that crazy old grin, the tattered old boots and his ranting of politics.
Good bye Grandpa Davis I will see you in the next life and you better have that grin!
